The Short-Term Rental Public Hearing Item on the March 11, 2025 City Council Agenda has been cancelled to allow for additional public noticing and will be rescheduled to a later date.
At its March 11 meeting, the City Council will consider an ordinance that would regulate the short-term rental of homes in Claremont. Short-term rentals are rentals of less than 30 days and typically rent through a booking website like Airbnb or Vrbo. Currently, the City does not allow home rentals under 30 days in duration. The Council will consider the Planning Commission's recommendation to adopt an ordinance allowing short-term rentals with specific regulations and prohibitions.
